Adding Music to Your Sony Rolly
In Plain English
1. You MUST have the Japanese version of Windows XP, sorry… I’m working on a hack…
2. Launch SonicStage from the Rolly Launcher

3. Click the second tab in SonicStage

4. Drag your music into the music list
5. Connect your Rolly and click the third tab in Sonic Stage

6. Select ATRAC3 Audio Device from the arrow menu on the third tab
7. Press Y to transfer ALL music, or N to transfer only specific songs
8. Transfer the songs to your Rolly using the Right arrow, and the left arrow to remove songs from your Rolly

9. Quit SonicStage
10. Launch the Motion Editor

11. Click Rolly in Motion Editor to edit the songs on your Rolly (if it doesn’t automatically bring up the Rolly’s contents)
12. The Rolly software will ask to look for Motion files. Press Y to let it scan for songs that have motions already defined for them.

13. Your Rolly will appear with all the songs that are on it. Note that the song I just added (“Honey Honey”) has no motion associated with it... You can see it at the bottom of the list.

By Default, Your Songs
have NO motions associated with them. The songs with motions assigned to them
will have a white and green M icon next to them. Those without will have a
dimmed M icon.
To add motion to your songs:
1. Select the songs for which you’d like to add motion. Control-click to select more than one
2. Press the M* icon at the top of the screen and motion will be automatically calculated for the songs. Press Y when the dialog comes up – it’s probably telling you you can’t get the motion back if you overwrite one of your existing creations.

3. If you’d like to edit the motion for a song, select the song and click the M symbol with a “/” pencil-like icon and you can edit the motion.
4. If you click a song and the Play button, you’ll see a simulation of what the Rolly will do when playing
